Since I switched to my HTC one (M8) I am receiving a ridiculous amount of spam email! I have to delete my spam on my PC and then refresh my emails on my phone to get rid of them. There has got to be some sort of filter on the phone, but so far no one has been able to resolve the issue.

The easiest way to keep spam down is to use a good mail client.

I would recommend one of these two:
    - Mailbox
    - Cloud Magic

Or, if your email server runs a spam trap, set it up and neither your PC nor your phone will ever see the spam. (GMail does - once you mark at least one message, you'll get a "Filter messages like these" line in More. Mark it to delete and to also apply to the conversation. (Click "Create filter with this search" on the first page.)
