Ok I've got an android box for my tv. Works fine in 480p on HDMI port.
CS918 android quad core smart box rk3188 chip 2gb mem 8gb storage.
I've replaced the device so I'm fairly certain that it is not the physical device or connection. Possibly the TV but, it's the only device that has any issues. Xbox360, cable box and blu-ray player on hdmi work fine. TV is a vizio 42" 120hz 3d smart tv, its around 3 years old.
can't post link for either but if you look on sam's club for vizio 3d bundle you will find it.
I'm not sure what I can do to get it at either 720 or 1080 or if its an inherent flaw in either the tv or the box that cannot be overcome. Not sure I can get any screen shots of what its doing but, it's impossible to watch or use unless i'm at 480p which sucks trying to watch or browse the web
