I noticed a couple of days ago that the battery level indicated on my note 2 was surprisingly low. I restricted background activity on all the apps that I could, and switched to my fully charged backup battery. In the morning, the barely used battery looked like it was almost drained. Not believing it, I restarted the phone and it indicated 90%. This continues with both batteries. I'm conviced that it's the phone. Is there anything I can do to fix it?.

Try a Cache Partition wipe, or even a Factory or Master Reset if your personal data is backed up:

It may also be worth calibrating the battery.
