    It depends on the network provider. In South Africa on the MTN network you have a certain amount of space. If full, people trying to leave you a message simply gets a voice over telling them the recipient mailbox is full.

    Welcome to Android Central! The voicemails aren't stored locally on your phone--they're stored in your wireless provider's voicemail servers. I would guess that they keep the voicemails indefinitely, until you delete them, but you should check with your wireless provider to see if there is a maximum duration that they will save a voicemail.
