I can't seem to get my notification sounds to work when my screen is locked. For example... If I get a text message and my screen is locked no sound but it does come up that I have a message. If I am texting and get another text, then the notification sounds. The volume is up. Anyone know what I've done wrong to make this happen?

Welcome to Android Central! That shouldn't happen. You're using the stock lockscreen, right? Try wiping the system cache partition: Reset: Samsung Galaxy S 5 | T-Mobile Support

I just did everything you suggested and it's still doing the same thing. Any other suggestions?

There aren't any "Do Not Disturb" settings on, are there?

This probably isn't the cause of the problem, but for future reference: Where to find 'Do not disturb' mode on the Galaxy S5 - CNET
