Phone Won't Turn On?

So I had trouble earlier, my phone wouldn't charge, but now it seems to be charging because I left it for about an hour. But when I go to turn it on, it vibrates, the screen lights up, then shuts back off. Does anyone know why, or a way to fix it?

Are you able to try a different battery? It could be that.

A Factory Reset, as long as your personal data is safely backed up, may also be worth trying, if the battery is in fact good.

Consider also the possibility of a faulty power button, or associated circuitry.
