Samsung Galaxy 2 10.1 Not working after an update

I got a message saying that there was an update, I deferred this for an hour as I had other apps open, started download and left it for a few hours. Now I cannot get it to start up. Looked for solutions on the web. Have tried holding down on button and volume button to no avail, I get nothing with which to work on, no reboot or any other messages. I left it on charge last night, it said it was at a 100% charged. The only thing on the screen is the Samsung logo with a blue backlight lighting evey2 to 3 seconds. At whit's end now and do not know what to do. Can you help? Nicky

If you can remove the battery, try leaving it out for an hour or so and then replace.
