Why am I getting this error message storage space running out after I've delete photos and videos to create space?

ive been delete photos and videos but still say storage space running out. what sould I do

Just wait. It takes some time to update and delete the warning.

I would really like to know, however, exactly where the threshold of "dangerous low remaining capacity" is ? On PCs, similar warnings threaten with data loss and other potentially fatal system failure .... anyone knows ? I've had my Win file manager report "0 Kb remaining" on more than one occassion
