I'm using my internationally unlocked HTC ONE M8 since 2 months. At first there was absolutely no problem with the phone. 2-3weeks before the phone was sometimes giving "No Sim inserted" error but after few minutes it became normal. Now after 2-3 weeks no matter what I do my HTC M8 is constantly giving "No sim inserted" error. I tried cleaning the golden spots, readjusting the sim placement, restarting the phone with/without "fast boot" and I even tried the two layer thin tape method but everything failed on me. But apart from "no sim inserted" error, the phone is working perfectly.
P.S- The sim works perfectly fine, I used another phone to check and it worked fine also I did buy a new sim but unfortunately I got the same result.

There may be a fault in the SIM tray.
Alternatively, it may be worth wiping the Cache Partition, or even Factory Resetting if your personal data is backed up.
Consider also the possibility of a bad SD card, or a troublesome third-party app.

I tried wiping Cache Partition, but that didn't worked so I then tried Factory Resetting but that didn't work either.
Bad SD card as in microSD card? How do I remove or edit any third-party app?
I'm gonna also try changing the SIM tray

Welcome as a new member. I'm sorry the first two things didn't work.

Yes, if you've got a microSD card in the device you might as well try unmounting and removing it.

If you've installed any third-party apps since you bought the device, you could try booting into Safe Mode which will temporarily disable them.

Neither did I installed any third-party apps nor inserted microSD card. So what should I do now?

It may be best to return the phone under the terms of the warranty. You shouldn't have to try to fix a faulty SIM tray yourself, if that is indeed what is wrong.

Before that, you may care to consider posting about the problem in the HTC One M8 forum, where other users of the device may be able to suggest a fix.
