I am finally leaving the oldest and first iPhone ever to go to the Galaxy S4, yes I know I am going from older to just old but I am trying to make this transition as smooth as possible. I have my iphone backed up on my macbook and I have the s4 (sans SIM) ready to go. What's next after I get the Sim card installed? Thanks so much for all of your help. I am very excited to be switching to android.

Disable iMessage before using the S4...for the love of all that's holy! You won't receive texts and you'll be right back here wondering why like so many others before. Save yourself the hassle.

Welcome to Android Central! Wow, you're in for a treat, coming from the iPhone 3G. See if Smart Switch will work to move your iPhone info to the S4: Smart Switch: Data Transfer for PC, Mac & More | Samsung | Samsung

Here's an intro to Android guide: http://forums.androidcentral.com/gen...id-2014-a.html. Since you have an S4, it won't look entirely familiar, since TouchWiz is a significant modification of the base Android interface. But a lot of it is the same.
