Does the (not wirless) Beats Mixr work with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2?

I have a Note 2 and some of my friends have told me that the Beats Mixr does not work on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 along with most Samsung devices. I do not want to open the Beats Mixr as the store I bought it from has a no return policy.

Welcome to Android Central! If your friends had direct experience with using the Mixr with their Samsung device, then I'd believe them. Headphones that are designed specifically for iOS devices may have limited compatibility with non-iOS devices, due to different headphone configurations. According to the Beats site, it will work wired (as far as the headphones) with the Note 2. I've reported this error on their page. No idea whether they're a company that cares or not, though.

Right--the headphones part will work, but it says on the site that the mic and remote controls might not work. Do you know if those features work, Rukbat?
