Why won't my tablet turn on?

So I was playing this game on my Samsung Tablet 3 Lite, and the game was being extremely slow, so I turned off my tablet (Just pressed the button). Now, it won't turn on again. Please help me

Welcome to Android Central! What was the battery level when you turned if off? Have you tried pressing and holding the button down for about 15 seconds? Do this twice, in case the first time is actually forcing a power down of the tablet. (It's conceivable that the tablet is malfunctioning and is actually on except for the screen--so the first long power button press may help to power it off.)
