How can I delete previously visited websites?

I visited several websites on Yahoo today on my Samsung Galaxy s5. Now my screen shows them all as open pages that I can't close. I clicked on the number of open pages, and all the pages are listed with minus signs by them to close out. But when I try to click on the open page's minus sign to close it, a new screen pops up that says..... Unfortunately, Internet has stopped with an OK box underneath. Then I have to click the OK to proceed. However, all of the open pages still remain open. This is how I used to close out open pages before. Is there another way?

Welcome to Android Central! Go to the App Manager, select Browser, and Clear Cache, then Force Stop. Now open it again. If that doesn't help, try Clear Data as well.
