I formatted my Samsung S5, now it's dead. What happened?

Formatted my Samsung s5 - Now it's dead

I formatted my Samsung s5 in order to flash a custom rom on it. I wiped it all, and it said "Only use this if you're going to flash a custom rom" I pressed yes since that what's i was looking to do. Unfortunately I extracted the whole zip to my SD card, and i was supposed to transfer the un-extracted file, so now I can't start my phone. What do i do?

I think the term is 'bricked'
