    I know there are least 20 versions. I.E.: SM-G900A, SM-G900D, SM-G900F, SM-G900H, SM-G900I, SM-G900J, SM-G900K, SM-G900M, SM-G900P, SM-G900R4, SM-G900S, SM-G900T, SM-G900V etc., etc. I am told a SM-G900H works and has the same functions as a SM-G900A. I am talking about "unlocked" phones that are available to buy on the internet.

    900A and 900V are bootloader-locked, if that matters to you (like flashing ROMs). As far as the other versions, make a list of frequencies (including all 4G and 4GLTE frequencies) all the carriers you want to be able use need, then look at the specs of each model. Match a model that covers all the frequencies you need.
