I had to do a hard reset on my Pantech android phone, my SD card maintained by contacts, but through out the years this had grown. I am a Verizon wireless customer

If your stored your contacts on your Phone, then your Pantech should automatically download from Backup Assistant, now Verizon Cloud. Go to Playstore, download or update the Verizon Cloud app. If you selected your Gmail account when entering your contacts (I recommend to do this as you can always log on to Gmail to see your contacts....). And I enter my calendar events with Gmail as well.
