Alright, here's the cheese. I have an AT&T Galaxy S5 which I one day hope to root, but am too nervous seeing how I still have a year and a half on my contract (sigh). So I had the seemingly great idea to buy an unlocked Galaxy S2 or S3, or perhaps an older model Note and root it and mess around with it. Now here is my question: if it is unlocked, and if I want to essentially use it as my own little android-iPod, would it be fine and fully operational (minus the phone, messaging, and carrier stuff) without a SIM card and without syncing to a carrier? I could still do everything a regular S3 could do just not use the Phone and Messaging, correct? Hope this is clear enough...
