Why am I not able to access my voicemail form a remote phone?

problem accessing voice mail from remote phone.

I enter my password & then nothing. It's recording me & not letting me hear my messages.

Welcome to Android Central! Which wireless carrier do you have? Are you sure you can access the voicemail from another phone? Call up your carrier and ask how to remotely access your voicemail, or search the carrier's support website for that information.
