Just saw a warning on TV about the malware in flashlight apps on Android phones.

AC Question

Apparently these flashlight apps are spying on us and we are not even aware of it. Flashlight apps are downloading data from the phones from mobile banking apps, family photos, contact lists, etc. Is the Assistive Light apps on the Galaxy Express one of those malware containing apps? If so, how do I get rid of this app that was installed on my phone when I got it?

I don't know if I would worry so much about a pre installed app. The ones that ad were talking about were third party ones that ask for excessive permissions on Play. To take one at random: A flashlight app has no business asking for your contacts. Limited internet possibly (it needs to update and such)
