Why am I showing insufficient memory when I try to download apps but it shows that I have 6 GB of Internal Memory Free?

Micromax Unite 2 ( A 106 )'s ROM memory ..

When I check my device memory from File Manager, it shows "6 GB Internal Memory free" but when i try to download a game of 1 GB , it says "Insufficient Internal Memory to download". I am new to android and don't know much about it. How can I solve my problem ? Is there any way without rooting my phone ??
plzz help..

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have? I suspect that it has partitioned memory, where the 6 GB of Internal Storage you're seeing is actually from an "internal SD" partition, while there is a smaller "app storage" partition that is close to full.
