No. Sprint would be a CDMA phone, so the only way to move it to Verizon (the only other carrier you could move it to) would be to clone it to a Verizon phone. (To use it on another network that uses Sprint towers, there's nothing you need to do but get an account on that network.)

Since it's not a GSM phone, you can't use it on AT&T or TMobile towers - the technology is different.

Rooting only allows apps that need root access to run, it has nothing to do with the phone, which doesn't need root access.

In a GSM phone, SIM-unlocking allows you to use the phone on another network, but that won't work with a CDMA phone. (If your phone does both, SIM-unlocking will allow you to move it to AT&T or TMobile. Verizon won't accept it on their towers. unless it's cloned to a Verizon phone [which should then never be used again].)
