I have deleted a video file from my Samsung Galaxy S4, but can still see it in the picture gallery. It wont play, etc and although it has an icon it is not an image of the file rather a generic grey blob with a play arrow in a circle. I can still get details of the file such as name and location.

How do i completly delete it? Is it taking up memory space?

Run Aoolication manager. Go to Gallery and tap it. Tap the Clear cache button.

It's taking a little storage space for each picture, whether you've deleted it or not. If you clear the cache, Gallery will build a new one the next time you run it, including only the pictures you haven't deleted. You won't save much space unless you've deleted thousands of pictures, but every little bit helps.
