I'm waiting for the Nexus 6 to launch in South Africa and going through the comparison with the Sony Z3 I noticed the Nexus 6 is not DLNA compatible.

What does this mean for compatibility with my media player, Mede8er 1000? At the moment I watch Youtube videos on my phone and stream it to my Mede8er and I also use Twonky to beam videos saved on my phone. Will I still be able to do it and what else will I be missing out on?

Some people suggest to download an app but, surely to be DLNA compliant a phone must have the hardware/ chip, transmitter built in?
