I'm looking into a new phone and would like some feed back on why did you choose Android over IOS or Windows?

    Thanks

There aren't many apps for Windows phones (although I could write my own, but I'm retired and would rather not). I won't buy an apple product for many reasons, one of which is the blatant lie they told developers back in the 80s ("Follow the rules and we'll NEVER break your program"), and the fact that you can't do much that Apple doesn't allow.

An Android phone is basically a Linux computer with the ability to make and take phone calls and text messages. Having been in the game since before the 8080 was released, I want a phone I can make work my way, not have to use it their way. (That's how I wrote my programs for decades - the user wrote the program - in English - and I merely coded what the user did into something the computer would duplicate. I almost never had to write instructions for the use of my programs - the "instruction" was "do what you've always done, just do it on the computer".) I just wish that someone would come out with a pure Linux ROM.
