Why is my Play Store screen showing blank?

Blank Play Store screen

My play store screen is blank where there used to be a lot of ads for apps. A google screen come on with several items, redeem, settings, help and about google. The search button is there but when I type a name of an app nothing happens. Guess I did something wrong. Also my gmail page now doesn't work either, so can't access my gmail on phone. I am running version 4.2.2

Try this:

Run Applications manager (from Settings). Find Play Store. Force it closed. Clear cache. Clear data. Close Applications manager.

Go to Accounts (in Settings). Go to your Google account. (make sure you know your login and password.) Delete the account. Create a Google account. An existing one. Use the same login and password.

See if that clears anything up.

Thanks for your time, probably the next thing is to reset. Deleted the gmail account and created an existing one. Now it will not let me sign in. But thank you, I will try to reset and see what happens.

Tried it again, you ARE A GENIOUS. IT NOW WORKS. Got the play store screen back and gmail seems to be back. I believe it all has to do with gmail. If it doesn't work nothing else does.

I tried it. When i did the first part with the play store data, i could then see the loading wheel of the store but nothing was happening. Then i tried deleting the account but now i cant get my account back. What am i doing now?! Ita like if my account is still connected to my phone but doesnt exist anymore.. HELP!
