Why am I getting email notifications twice?

I have a new Note 4 and I am using the yahoo mail app. I have not set up the yahoo account anywhere else on the phone but when I get an email I get two notifications in the top bar and when I pull it down it shows twice. Anyone have any ideas?

Is your Yahoo account synced to a stock email app or to anything else? If so see whether the notifications settings in the other app are set appropriately....that is, Off.
