When I open text messaging on my S5, it opens to a random conversation. Why? How do I fix this?

Often times when I open up my texts on my Galaxy S5, it will open to a random conversation and I will respond to the wrong person, thinking it's the last text conversation. This seems to happen very often. I've looked at the settings, etc. but can't seem to correct it. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you certain it's a random conversation, or is it the conversation that was open the last time you used the Messaging app?

Go to the App Manager, select Messaging, and Clear Cache. Then see if it keeps happening.
