Why won't my galaxy s 3 turn on ?

The battery was fully charged. I sent a text message then the phone turned off. I can not turn it on no matter what I do. I tried draining the excess electricity. didnt work. triend holding down all combinations of buttons....nothing works. This phone is only a month old. walmart will not exchange it for me . Help! thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! Have you tried a new battery? Defective batteries can fail suddenly.

If Walmart won't take it back, Samsung should still cover it under warranty, unless you bought it used, "as-is" with no warranty.
