Can anyone help me with my Note music app, the tracks are breaking up?

my note music app is sticky - tracks sound like it is breaking up. please help.

All tracks play with intermittent drops in sound - something like an online play but the tracks are fully on the phone, including tracks that come preloaded

Welcome to Android Central! Which Note do you have? I assume you've tried a reboot already, correct? How about a system cache partition wipe? Or booting into Safe Mode?

I am using the Note 4. Yes I have rebooted. Sometimes the problem disappears and then returns after a few hours. Thanks for assisting

I have also noticed it is happening on the Google play app too

Try wiping the system cache partition: Wipe cache partition: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (N910) | T-Mobile Support
