What is the Droid Turbo Command Center

Ok I know what it is but i have searched the internet up and down and can not find the answer to a stupid question. What is the top bar Right above the temperature. it changes colors and when you have current location set it has the target next to it. I know the bottom one is battery, but what is the top one????

Welcome to Android Central! I think that might be a visual representation of the outside temperature. Blue is colder, green is in the middle, orange/red is warmer.
