Samsung Galaxy S5 smart remote app set-up

So I'm trying to set up the smart remote app using my Samsung Galaxy S5 and it's working fine with my tv but I can't get it to work for our satellite box. We have a DuoDVR 625 from Dish and we have two tv's connected to the box. The main tv is in my parents room and I'm trying to get the smart remote app working for the second tv in the living room.
