is there a text app that doesn't suck in some aspect?

I been on droid since froyo
go was great til they over engineered it
texta looks ok but pics are cumbersome
hello is nice but it sends links instead of the pic which pisses off my friends. and I WILL NOT send "invites to my contact list
handcent...... geez

stock works, but it looks like it was designed with a crayon and needs 4 taps where other apps use one

its just that you would have a winner if you combined the positives from the above apps

anyone find a hidden gem????

There's no app that doesn't suck in some way to someone. The only app that does everything you want, exactly the way you want, and doesn't waste time or space on things you don't want, is the one you write yourself. (And even most programmers just put up with the "suck" of the apps and programs we use.)

(BTW, if I understand you right - there's can't be a text app that sends pictures, not links - the texting protocol has no way of sending pics.)
