How can I use my LG G3 via bluetooth in my Ford Territory successfully?

I have a new Ford Territory Titanium (Sept 2014) and am unable to use my LG G3 via the Bluetooth. Most calls connect, but then the noises through the system make the call impossible. The best way I can describe it is like a loud metallic echo. Any suggestions?
