How do I get rid of the "Unfortunately contacts has stopped working" message?

AC Question

I have a Galaxy Exhibit. Everytime I try to open my phone to dial a number to make a call or I try to open contacts this message appears. I've tried clearing the cache of all my apps and clearing the data in contacts but this is still happening. Are there any other ways to fix it?

Welcome to Android Central! Are any other apps linking contacts, like Facebook? I've see some conflicts with that. Try unsyncing Facebook contacts, or temporarily uninstalling Facebook.

For fix this go to settings, select the app manager, scroll to the left to select the all tab, then select contacts, next clear cache and data.
Go back to previous menu and select the phone tab (dialer), and tap clear cache and then clear data. This should work. It did for me! ;)
