Why can I hear a caller on incoming calls but sometimes they can't hear me?

caller on incoming calls sometimes can't hear me, but I can hear them

When someone calls me on my nexus 4 lg phone they will hear me at first but then can no longer hear me but I can hear them. This only happens with incoming calls, and not all the time.

Sounds more like a network issue than a phone issue. Contact your carrier.
