I was under the impression there would be a dimmed version of your clock that could always stay on. does anyone know how to make it so my face doesn't ever go black?

No, but mine keeps unintentionally staying in. Lol.

Hi AC. So you want your device to not switch off right?

What device are you using? Go to your settings and search through those options there to look for (Screen-off timer). It also may be in the developer settings of your phone.

    regards

I don't know the answer to the question, but my impression is that the original post is asking about a smartwatch?
