Why does my GS5 have a white screen with colored small dots?

GS5 White screen with coloured small dots.

I dropped a GS% and now the screen is basically white on start up, and can not do anything with it. Screen just stays whiteish.

chances are very good that the digitizer (the actual display underneath the glass) is damaged. Unfortunately, the only option is to take the phone in for repair. They will replace the digitizer and likely the screen glass as well.

I agree with dancing-bass. Replacing the unit as a whole may be more cost effective; if I recall, the glass is glued to the digitizer and removing it takes a lot of time.
