Galaxy Note 8.0 - Some 3rd party apps can't write to internal storage.

My tablet is the GT-N5110 Galaxy Note 8.0 running Kitkat. Last night I noticed that apps like Dropbox and ES File Explorer can't paste files to the internal storage anymore but will paste to the external sd card. The stock My Files and also Rom Toolbox Pro pastes files to the internal storage just fine. I can't think of any big changes I made to my tablet recently! Can somebody help me to get these apps writing to internal storage again?

Check the permissions on the folders you're trying to write to (use ES). An app can't write to a folder it doesn't have permission to write to. If the app or the group the app belongs to don't own the folder, the folder has to have write permission for "all users".
