How to activate ExternalSD card?

I'm trying to swap the SD cards on my Irulu R17 tablet. Running KitKat 4.4.2 and is rooted. I've tried "Root External 2 Internal" and a few other options with no luck. Have also browsed through the Root trying to find the "vold/fstab" folder for editing, but it's nowhere to be found that I can see.

How do I go about swapping the two SD cards so I can take advantage of the 32GB external SD card I have mounted on the tablet?

AS far as I was aware, I didn't think that could be done anymore. What device do you have?

There are apps that claim to do the swap, but the only way that really works is a ROM that uses the card as drive 0 and internal storage as drive 1 (IOW, they're swapped in the operating system itself when it's written).

Have you looked for /etc/fstab or /fstab?
