'Unfortunately, Internet has stopped' when I click on the Bookmark button. Why is this happening?

This has been going on for the last few days now. Basically, I click the Internet app on my Samsung Galaxy S3, and when I click the Bookmark button on the top right of the screen, it takes me there but freezes immediately. I can't tap my Bookmarks, my History or my saved pages. The internet then closes and then a box appears saying 'Unfortunately, Internet has stopped'. It happens every time I click the Bookmark button. It was working fine until the last few days. I can still look on the Internet on my phone and open tabs, it's just the Bookmark button that is the problem. Please help!

Try going to Settings >> Apps >> Internet. Clear cache. Try again. If that didn't help, clear cache and data.

worked when i cleared the cache and data! thank you. would it do it in the future?

If you use Internet the way you've been using it, it probably will freeze in the future - and clearing cache and data probably will fix it again.
