    Hello android central, I recently obtained the android 4.4.4 system ui apk and I was wondering if I could install. It on a kindle that supports apk to put the android is on it? I want to know if this will work, kindle is Linux based like android.

    To install Android on a Kindle, you need an Android ROM that was written for that model Kindle.

    The apk is probably just to make the Kindle look like an Android phone running Android 4.4.4.

    No it will not. It just says x app not installed. The only way you will be able to install the newer version is if you can find a way to uninstall the original system ui apk
