Why does my keyboard type the incorrect number/letter?

I was using my android phone normally through out the day and than all of a sudden my keyboard starts typing the incorrect number; I have a password and have to unlock it. I didn't do anything it was all perfect until suddenly it started acting weird. I type in every single number but it comes out as the number "7" I click OK or anything to unlock my password and it just adds the number 7 to the pin. Help me please!

Are you using the stock keyboard or a different one?

You could try clearing the cache of the keyboard and reboot the phone.

I don't even know what a stock keyboard is. I got this phone a couple weeks ago and I haven't installed any new keyboards or stuff like that. How do I reboot it???

Turn your phone off, wait a little while and turn it on again.
