nexus 5, revert to stock recovery

I'm trying to update to the lollipop ota but I'm using clockworkmod recovery and would like to know if a simple factory reset would do it instead of flashing stock IMG using NRT.

Factory reset will reset the OS. Not recovery. You can flash stock recover of you want. I recommend wugfresh root toolkit if you can't do it over adb.

Factory reset removes anything you've added to the computer you're running in a normal start or restart, it doesn't revert ROMs (recovery is a ROM) or add things you've deleted. It's basically "personal data wipe".
