Sync app data

What happens when sync app data is turned off? I have the other app syns turned on that I need.

Supposedly "sync app data" syncs the data your apps save. I've never relied on iit - I have it turned off and use Helium to sync my data.

Thanks. I don't like to add any more system apps unless I know what they really do. All I have are Battery Doctor & Wi/FL Data Off/On. They turn off everything except the radio for the phone & text anytime I turn the screen off. This uses very little battery.

Helium doesn't use any battery unless you run it. Then it just produces a backup file of the data from your apps. (It can back up the apps themselves too.) It's an old and tried app.
