On my Samsung Tab 2, why am I getting a red cross when charging?

Samsung tab 2 red cross when charging

Hello, I wondered if anyone could help... I have had a problem with my tab 2 charging. I changing the battery thinking it was that. Then changed the motherboard with still No success. The red cross is still there when charging. My tab 2 is also taking forever to charge up. I reset my tablet back to factory settings, thinking that would help but nothing? The red cross still appears.....

Welcome to Android Central! Have you tried a different USB cable or wall plug? That kind of thing can happen if the charger is not entirely compatible or is faulty.
