    How do I get rid of the Verizon apn, will this help me get my network back?

    The APN your phone is using is the t-mobile APN. Are you sure the values in there are correct? Are you sure your phone can use the TMobile data frequencies? Are you sure you have it set to use the right settings (GSM, WCDMA, etc.)? Unfortunately, Walmart employees are worthless for this, and I don't know if a TMobile store will help you.

    It should be all correct I went to the my family website, but still no dice, and I agree with u about the wal mart employees lol

    . Verify and update the APN settings

    From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
    Touch Settings.
    Touch Wireless & Networks or Wireless Controls.
    Note: Depends on software version.
    Touch Mobile Networks.
    Touch Access Point Names or APNs.
    If there is a Family Mobile (or T-Mobile) APN, touch it. If not, press the Menu key, and touch New APN.
    Verify and update the following settings for the Data APN:
    Name: Family Mobile (or T-Mobile)
    APN: Choose one of the following:
    web.omwtoday.com OR
    fast.t-mobile.com
    Proxy: <Leave blank>
    Port: <Leave blank>
    Username: <Leave blank>
    Password: <Leave blank>
    Server: <Leave blank>
    MMSC: http://wirelessfour.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
    MMS proxy: <Leave blank>
    MMS port: <Leave blank>
    MMS protocol: WAP 2.0 (Most phones do not have this field)
    MCC: 310
    MNC: 260
    Authentication type: <Leave blank>
    APN type:<Not set> OR Internet+MMS (depending on software version)
    Important: The APN type must be entered EXACTLY as shown.
    Note: On some Android phones, this field must be selected rather than typed. On these phones, choose the option for Internet + MMS
    APN protocol: Ipv4
    Enable/disable APN: APN Enabled
    Bearer: Unspecified
    Press the Menu key.
    Touch Save.
    In the list of APNs, delete all others that appear if possible.
    Exception: Do not delete the FOTA APN.
    To delete an APN, follow these steps:
    Touch the APN you want to delete.
    Press the Menu key.
    Touch Delete APN.
    Select to activate the Family Mobile or T-Mobile APN with the correct settings. A green circle will indicate it is activated.
    Turn the phone off and back on.
    Test the data connection and access the web to verify it is working correctly. If not, repeat steps above to edit the APN to set the APN type to <blank>.



    As for getting rid of the verizon APN, I believe that is a nope! It's a verizon phone so it's locked in there, just save your apn and make sure you have the bubble next to the family mobile network clicked. The voicemail function may be hinky as well, try dialing 123 and make sure your touchtones are set to long otherwise they may not work during playing voicemails.
