I have an android box connected to a TV only to be able to work on it.
The hole purpose of the box is to act like a server (NAS, Dlna, web, etc.).
For remote control through VNC I have installed VMLite VNC server.

It works like a dream when I remote remote but only if the TV is On. As soon as I switch the TV off the image on the vnc viwer is scrambled.(RealVNC, TightVNC, UltraVNC).
It looks like when the resolution is to high in Windows.

How can I make my android think that it is plugged on a TV so I can remote on it?
Please do not tell me to leave the TV on.

I think it's reading the resolution on the TV to set its own video up. When there's no TV, the video runs without any particular setting (it runs t the natural frequencies of the oscillators, which depend on things as tiny as a nanometer size difference in a PC board lead).
