Will my Galaxy S5 charge with an Itian A6 Charger?

Question regarding Itian A6 Charger and my Galaxy S5

We just purchased an Itian A6 wireless charger for my Galaxy 5, and after plugging in the charger there is a fast flashing red light, and then when we put the phone on the charger, it does not charge. Does anyone know what is going on?
What does the red flashing light mean?
Why is it not charging?

I could be wrong, but I do think the S5 supports wireless charging without a replacement back panel or third party wireless (Qi) pad. Do you know if one was also installed?
