Is it normal to hear the processor in my phone?

Processor noise

I recently picked up a LG G3 with Verizon and when I'm online or downloading or multitasking with the phone I can hear a faint noise coming from inside the phone. Sort of a staticky hiss. Real similar to how older computers sounded when connecting to the internet.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Ok so I narrowed it down. It only happens when the phone is charging :/

Welcome to Android Central! Is it coming from the speaker? Sometimes, if the shielding isn't adequate, the electromagnetic field generated from the charging can generate noise from the speaker.

Or if the filtering in the charger isn't adequate (because a capacitor in the charger went bad), the charger switching frequency can get into the phone. See if charging from a computer's USB port, or with another charger, does the same thing.
