Why is my galaxy s5 unresponsive

The other day my phone turned off by it self and wont turn back on. It is completely unresponsive other than a red message appears in the top left corner every now and then but goes of to fast for me to read it and it also will vibrate occasionally.

Welcome to the forums. Can you reboot into recovery or Download mode?

No I dont even know if I can fix it from my house or if i need to take it to somewhere to get it fixed. And i think i finally figured out that the red text says "amdroid system recovery" anyways i just at least want to know whats wrong with it

It might be a chip issue. If it would make you feel better, taking it in to have a professional look at it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Sounds like your recovery partition is borked.

You could use ODIN to re-flash the stock firmware, if you can find a trusted source for the image.
